The Legendary David Rodigan

<

Legendary reggae selector David Rodigan got his start playing on Capital Radio in London in the late 70's and has since become one of reggae music's most celebrated figures, continuing his legacy on London's Kiss FM - check his homepage here. Here is an interview with Rodigan - speaking about his musical beginnings, as well as the current state of the reggae scene. I have also included some live video footage of Rodigan doing his thing. He could show a lot of deejays a thing or two about crowd interaction. The man's energy and enthusiasm never ceases to amaze me. Legend indeed!

Special Ed Interview

True Hip-Hop Stories: Special Ed from D-Nice on Vimeo.

My man D Nice has been doing some serious interviews over the course of the last couple of years. Tributes to some of the greatest hip hop talent of all time, done in a tasteful, to the point fashion. Props to D for keeping these legends alive and in the public eye. Most cats today don't realize the impact these rap artists have had on today's music industry. Now if I can only get my hands on one of those cameras he is using.....anyone have $5000 they don't know what to do with??

D Nice-TR808 Is Coming(Remix)

There appears to be some issues with downloading pics today on blogger. After numerous attempts I have decided to just hit you up with the link to this track from D Nice, featured here in its remix form. D Nice put out his share of good tracks back in the day, and is now becoming a very accomplished man behind the video lens as well with his "True Hip Hop Stories" series that features interviews with golden era rap legends. I will be featuring some of these videos in the next few weeks and hope to be doing an interview with D Nice shortly for my radio program. Stay tuned...
