"The Corporate Boys of Rap", this finely dressed duo were responsible for many successful rap singles in the 80's including "Genius Rap", which used the hook from "Genius of Love" by the Tom Tom Club. Eventually the two went their separate ways to pursue their own piece of the entertainment business pie. Andre Harrell(Dr. Jeckyll) went on to become the founder and Ceo of the hugely successful Uptown Records, an urban force in the 90's which proudly boasted a who's who roster of R&B and hip hop stars including Mary J Blige and Notorious B.I.G. He later went on to become the head of Motown Records, a move you might call a "significant notch in one's belt". Alonzo Brown(Mr. Hyde) continued releasing solo material on Profile records in the late 80's and eventually left to pursue a career in media, serving as executive producer for the successful television program Judge Mathis. They may not have been the "Freshest Rhymes in the World", but their impact on the hip hop community was significant and long lasting.
