I just realized this morning that I haven't made a "Guilty Pleasure" post in awhile. I am seriously considering putting together another blog devoted to just that - songs from the distant past that put a smile on one's face - not because they are great songs, but simply because of the memories attached to them. Today's installment is from the UK group K-Klass. The single "Let Me Show You" reached number 13 on the UK singles chart in 1993. They later when on to produce and remix tracks by other artists and were nominated for a Grammy Award in 2002 for their remix of "Baby Come On Over" by Samantha Mumba. "Let Me Show You" is one of those shameless piano laden dance numbers that rocked dancefloors in the early 90's, but seems horribly cheesy to me now. I remember first hearing this on a radio mixshow tape a friend had made for me and I thought it was a storming piece of dancefloor heaven. It now resides in a dusty corner of my "Box of Shame" - that crate of records that will never be played again, but will forever take up valuable space. There must be a support group for this kind of thing....
