Originally formed by Luther Rabb and Ronnie Hammon in Seattle in 1969, this dynamic funk group has produced many tasty grooves over the years. Often sampled, their work is most easily recognized in the legendary lick in "Bust A Move" by Young MC. However, I much prefer "Never Let 'Em Say", which has been sampled by both the Beastie Boys and Gang Starr. Nerdy sample references aside, this is a great track from start to finish.
